Thanks to its terroir, Léoville Poyferré displays a magnificent balance between alcohol, acidity and tannins. The wine develops a sumptuous velvet quality in addition to plenty of elegance and finesse, altogether with a very great potential for aging.
|The origin of the estate dates back to 1638. At that time, Leoville was the largest Medoc property, fragmented over time and generations. The legacy of the grand vin of Leoville Poyferre began in 1840 and went on to be consecrated as a Second Classified Growth fifteen years later. Didier Cuvelier has presided over the destiny of this gem since 1979.|
